One can't deny that currently technology development is booming globally. Even in poor places, such as the African continent, where millions of people are dying of starvation, a project has still been implemented to supply them with cheap computers which will be able to access internet: the OLPC (One Laptop Per Child) Project, which I have discussed in my previous posts.
Things do not stop there. IBM and Google have teamed up to set up an educational plan where participant students will be specially trained on web-based applications. Universities wishing to offer Saas (Software-as-a-Service) course will be provided with the necessary resources to do so. Students will have access to remotely-hosted software via the internet, such as the Google Search Engine, Google Applications or IBM's hosted services platform (the latter are yet to be implemented).
One should note that Open Source is the trend this project intends to follow.

Have you ever heard this?Well,I’m talking about the garments sale I recently came through.I went to a mall just for the sake of change from the bored project and college work.hardly carrying some cash since we were not prepared for the Big Surprise waiting for us there.As soon as we entered the Shipra Mall,Ghaziabad(IND),there were banners(Big ones)shouting SALE SALE SALE.
The sale was like this-Buy 3 Get 6 Free.An yeah,there was one more offer at the same-buy 6 get 18 Free.Sheesh,I never imagined in my life about this.I think the owner is fed up of his store and plans to start a new business.But wait,I was wrong because it was a comptetion(I suppose) between the various stores located close to each other.As I turned my head,there was another sale banner saying-50%+45% Off.I thought what the Hell,the thing which cost me Rs100 is now for Rs5, but my friend clarified me about the discount(hope you understood the meaning of 50%+45%Off).
But the question which haunts me is-How much should I pay them for a Jeans or Shirt?Shall I wait for the Sale season when I can buy 18 shirt by just paying for 6?I also heard they increase the amount tagged on the item and give discount so we actually pay what we will pay without Sale?
First of all EID Mubarak,not only to Muslims around the world but to other religion people as well.I saw on Blogcatalog that people are not aware of this festival of Muslims.At that time I thought I should write a brief post which will tell them what the Festival is and why it is celebrated?
Eid mubarak is a traditional greeting reserved for use on the festivals of Eid ul-Adha and Eid ul-Fitr. Muslims wish each other Eid Mubarak after performing the Eid prayer. This celebration continues till the end of the day. Like Eid ul-Fitr, Eid ul-Adha also begins with a short prayer followed by a sermon.Eid al-Adha is 4 days long and starts on the 10th day of the month of Dhul Hijja of the lunar Islamic calendar.This is the day after the pilgrims in , the annual pilgrimage to Mecca in Saudi Arabia by Muslims worldwide, descend from Mount Arafat.It happens to be approximately 70 days after the end of the month of Ramadan(Ramadan is an Islamic religious observance that takes place during the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, when the Qur'an was revealed.).

They then attend special congregational prayers held only for this occasion in mosques, in large open areas, stadiums or arenas. The prayer is generally short, and is followed by a sermon. Worshippers greet and embrace each other in a spirit of peace and love after the congregational prayer. The idea for this post struck my mind when I searching information for my electronics project-Radio frequency Identification(RFID).Since this is my final year in Engineering,I shall submit a project in college.I am thankful to Mr. HC Aggrawal for handing us such a high-tech project.
RFID is the latest emerging technology which is not yet popular till now.RFID is an automatic identification method, relying on storing and remotely retrieving data using devices called RFID tags.The working of RFID tags is similar to Barcode Readers used in shopping stores,libraries etc.The only difference is the large range of RFID and its lower cost when used on large scale.The main advantage is that products having RFID chips can be tracked from a very large distance.There are many other advantages.
But many people are against this technology.there are various reasons stated
1)Privacy-If RFID tags are implemented on currency,a person having RFID Sensor will know the amount of money you are carrying.Also a person can be tracked for tracked for large distance if item he his carrying has RFID tag without his knowledge.
2)Religious Opinion-Some critics, evangelical Christians mainly, believe that RFID tagging could represent the Number of the Beast(666) mentioned specifically in the "Book of Revelation".Katherine Albrecht,Liz_McIntyre authors of Spychips: How Major Corporations and Government Plan to Track Your Every Move with RFID,wrote a new book on the subject.John Conner, leader of an organization called "The Resistance of Christ" also believes there is a strong connection. Related subjects include "Eschatology"(last things)and Dispensationalism".
But what these people don't understand is the ease with which work will be done after the implementation of RFID.There will be so much saving of time and money.There will be no manual searching for a particular item in a factory.Whatever others say,I will go for RFID's development.What do you say?

Her name is Jackie Hooper, also known as Shinade. Her biological mother was Maxine Soape, but a couple had adopted her. According to her, besides her mother, she also had a younger sister as a family member. Just like her, her sister, who was born in 1959 or 1960 and is three years younger than her, had also been adopted out to another couple, by her own paternal uncle.
Both were born in the same hometown of East Texas, but are now being adopted by two different couples and have been separated since then. The sister is currently staying with her adopted parents in Pueblo, Colorado.
Jackie has never stood a chance to watch her younger sister grow, and has never even known what her sister’s name is.
As painful as it is to be worlds apart from your friends, it is even more painful to be worlds apart from your own flesh and blood. "Oh, Sir Lancelot, one of my beloved knights and most loyal, you have greatly disgraced me but because you are one of my best and most loved knights I will grant you one chance at freedom." The king went on, "I will pose a riddle to you, and, if you can solve this great question I will let you go free, but, if not, you will be sentenced to death by quartering." The knight was greatly distressed, but he answered the king, "Oh great king, pose the riddle to your most loyal knight." "The riddle is this, 'What do women want most?" The court was silent. Who, in any wisdom, could answer this great question. The knight replied, "Oh king, thank you for this great opportunity. How, I beg you, long do I have to answer the riddle?" The king said, "One week. I know you are loyal and a man of your word, you are free to search the land for the answer." The knight was on his way to find the answer. He sought high and low. On the first day, he sought wisdom from the ancients who answered him that it is not possible to know such a thing. With but a few moments remaining the knight stood before the king. The king spoke, "Have you the answer to my riddle oh knight?" And the knight bowed he answered and a firm voice, "I do oh king!" The court became quite hushed with anticipation. "Answer then oh most loyal knight that you may be exonerated from your punishment!" the king commanded. "Women want most to have their own way, Oh king." The king smiled, "you are most wise knight, go on your way, you are free." The knight exited the court with relief but as soon as he walked out there was the witch waiting for him. "You remember your promise you most honorable knight, do you not?" She cackled. "Yes, I am a man of my word, this night I will marry you." "Very well, knight, and because you are a man of your word and honorable I will grant YOU a wish of your desire. I can be beautiful for you, BUT, I can either be beautiful for you in the late evenings that you may enjoy me as a wife OR I can be beautiful for you in the day that you may have honor among your men." she humbly paused "which will it be knight?" The knight being wise paused to think and while thinking he remembered the riddle that saved his life. "What do women want most?" The knight replied, "Witch, you choose which one you would have to be." The witch gravely said to him, "You are also very wise knight for you learn from your mistakes. For this I will be beautiful for you at all times." She cast her spell and instantly she became a very fair maiden. And the land was at peace again and there was a great celebration. We watch them daily raising their little hands before strangers and most of the time they are screamed at. Isn’t it possible that these little beggars are just another group of harassed victims? Or worse, the ugly face of a bonded life, blatantly existing in metros.
Everyday we see a number of children begging on the roads and we just turn our backs on them by saying, "What can we do?"
More than our money, these little beggars expect compassion towards their tragic lives so that they could be rescued from this vicious circle of poverty and pain. They are helpless and seek public support.
A beggar’s life is far more tragic than we can imagine. Standing at traffic signals, begging for that elusive rupee or two in exchange for a flower or a balloon can be anything but personal choice.
Most begging children don’t actually have a choice. They just have to work irrespective of fever or any other disease. Teenager girl beggars suffer the worst. Be it a lorry-driver, auto-rickshaw driver or the notorious traffic policeman, all look at them with bad intention. And, the poor helpless girls cannot do much about it.
Informing more about this social evil, Rakesh Seneger, National Secretary, Bachpan Bachao Andolan, said, “The child beggars are part of a forced beggary racket. They are trained how to carry crutches to appear disabled on road and later paid Rs 10 or 20 as commission out of their daily earnings."
There are gang leaders that include females also, who keep a check on the beggars so that they could not steal the money. Or if children are found doing so they are beaten black and blue for that.
"In Delhi, many individuals in Rohini’s Lal Quarters area, have been allegedly running training centres for child beggars. Areas like Delhi ’s Mahipalpur, Mehrauli and Vasant Kunj traffic signals are the main begging points," said Seneger.
For some, the bonded beggary is the cost they pay after running away from their native land. But for others, it is the last choice to avoid a threat to be made a prostitute or served before any pedophile.
"My uncle takes away my daily-earnings and arranges food for us. We are four sisters and all of us work at this traffic signal. Though sometimes people are kind but sometime they are very rude. Many a times we find people gazing at us in a bad way. I don’t want to go to school. It doesn’t pay. I sell flowers at times at this traffic signal, but my sisters beg for our ailing mother’s treatment," said 14-year-old Anita (name changed) near Moti Bagh traffic signal.
There are occasional beggars, who are in the daily wage business and take to begging when the going gets tough. Sociologists say that the problem of begging exists due to the absence of organized system of charity.
"Begging is also seen as a respectable activity in India. In all, other societies, charity is seen as respectable. In order to have charity, you have to have the people who are to be benefited by charity. Unfortunately, in India, we could not evolve a mechanism for organised charity," said Purshotam Aggarwal, a sociologist.
